How to use the cPanel Preinstaller on your dedicated server

cPanel is a web hosting control panel. It provides a graphical interface and automation tools designed to simplify the process of hosting a web site to the website owner or the "end user". This guide assumes that you have already ordered a Dedicated Server and selected our cPanel preinstall for your server.


How to use the cPanel Preinstaller on your dedicated server


Once your server has finished installing cPanel you will be required to set up your domain for cPanel to work:


  • Visit your new dedicated servers IP address followed by :8000 for example 192.168.0.1:8000 by going to it in your browser as follows:



Create a subdomain using your domains DNS manager, we will use Cloudflare however it will be the same on any domain registrar


  • Create an A record, we will use cpanel





  • Scroll down to the `rDNS Management and set the PTR record to the sub domain you have just set up



  • Go back to your server IP in your browser and enter you sub domain you have set up



So long as everything is now set up correctly your will now see cPanel installing to your dedicated server, once completed you will be taken automatically to the setup of cPanel.
