How to change the difficulty on your ARK server

To do this, we need to modify 2 settings in our Ark Configuration Editor which is very simple to do.

Ark difficulty is determined by the following formula: DifficultyOffset * (OverrideOfficialDifficulty - 0.5) + 0.5

1. Head to the Ark Configuration Editor down the left hand side.
2. Look for following settings: OverrideOfficialDifficulty and DifficultyOffset

3. Once you have changed the difficulty, just simply restart the server.

Once you have done that, open the console and run the command admincheat DestroyWildDinos. This will kill all wild untamed dinosaurs and begin letting them spawn at the new difficulty.
