Creating a MySQL Database on your cPanel
For some websites you may need a MySQL database. This guide explains how to setup a MySQL database for web hosting.
- Firstly you will need to log into your cPanel.
- Once you are logged into your cPanel proceed to the "Databases" section and then click the "MySQL Databases" tab.
- Then proceed to create your database by filling in the database name and then clicking "Create Database".
- Then add a MySQL User by inputting the user's name and password.
- Add the MySQL user to the MySQL Database.
- You have successfully setup a MySQL Database and MySQL User with privileges to use the database. You can now open the database by using phpMyAdmin in cPanel.
